Overview
Perfumers build compositions in three tiers — top, heart and base — and our botanicals show up across all three. Bright citrus oils and citral isolates lift the opening, spice oils and floral absolutes carry the heart, and roots like cypriol anchor the drydown. Dosages are constrained by regulatory dermal-safety limits for skin-contact categories, so bright ingredients like citral and eugenol are the most tightly restricted.
How it's used
- Fragrance concentrate (juice) is compounded at 15–25% of the finished EDP/EDT before dilution in alcohol.
- Percentages below refer to the concentrate — actual on-skin exposure is a fraction of that after dilution.
- Base notes like cypriol and oud accords are used at higher levels because they are non-volatile and anchor the composition.
- Naturals are commonly paired with modern captive aroma-chemicals for longevity and diffusion.
